COSI is looking for ESC volunteers from the European Union, Eastern Partnership Region and Western Balkans who would like to join our team for
months, starting with June 2023!
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
EPVP 4.0 project provides youngsters with opportunities to engage in solidarity actions, act for the benefit of the community as active citizens while gaining valuable experience and competences and improving their future employability. Thus, the project focuses on:
1. Increasing social inclusion chances and providing equal opportunities for 8 NEET youngsters from EU, EaP and Western Balkan region by involving them in COSI’s activities, supporting them to become active and responsible citizens, and equipping them with new competences.
2. Implementing monthly raise awareness campaigns according to the UN calendar: – Promoting active citizenship, sense of solidarity, volunteering; – Promoting Human rights, respect for diversity and tolerance, inclusion, and tolerance.
3. Improving the standards of life and supporting the social inclusion of disadvantaged youngsters in Bucharest by organising Humanitarian Aid initiatives;
4. Promoting E+, ESC and EYE programs.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
➡️ All the logistics (Accommodation and all bills, international insurance, international and local transportation, mentoring, VISA costs) are fully provided by COSI. Volunteers will receive 240 Euro/month (pocket + food money).
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Each volunteer will receive a pre-departure training in their country before leaving, provided by the sending organization. At arrival, volunteers will participate in an official training provided by the National Agency (online). They will also be provided with an introductory face-to-face training from the hosting organization. The training and support regarding the given tasks will be provided by the volunteer coordinator and mentors. Also, volunteers will participate in the face-to-face Mid Term Evaluation provided by the National Agency which allows them to assess their experience.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
➡️ NEET (Not in Employment, Education, Training) youngsters, conventionally unemployed, opportunity-seekers, available to commit for the full duration of the project; Committed to promote Human rights, sense of solidarity, inter-cultural dialogue, volunteering and active citizenship and to reduce stereotypes/prejudices, racism, discrimination, social inequality, poverty; Keen to develop within a multi-cultural environment; Motivated to acquire project management/writing, ICT and social media proficiency and events organizing skills; At least conversational level of English.
